The T7660 became availabe in January 2013. This model is technically almost identical to the T7650 except in one major way: as Saorview uses MPEG4 over DVB-T for HD content, the hardware ships without the Sony CXD2820R DVB-T2 demodulator chips that the T7650 has. Instead it uses the NEC D61541GB DVB-T demodulator chips, just as the earlier SD models used.
This means that although the Saorview T7660 boxes can be used to pick up regular Freeview channels, they cannot
receive Freeview HD channels. The software is fundamentally pretty similar to the Freeview+ HD boxes, with the main visual difference being that the prominent use of red in the user interface has been replaced with cyan.
